The world's favourite foods...

A new OXFAM report in association with which looked at the world's favourite foods

It's part of their new GROW campaign, which is well worth checking out. There are reports on Growing a Better World and Food Justice for example. Also, this from the OXFAM GROW blog page:

Food – It’s literally the stuff of life yet so many people don’t get enough of it – 1 in 7 of us in fact. This number is fairly shocking on its own, but it gets even worse when you realize that there is enough food in the world to feed every single one of us. These are big issues that affect all of us.
Oxfam’s new campaign GROW: Food.Life.Planet is about this essential ingredient to life and about all of us who eat it. It can be easy to feel like we have little to do with the way food is produced, distributed and consumed. But we do. We are all part of the system and so we all have a part to play in setting it right.
This may seem complicated – and in some ways, it is. But it’s also about the experiences that each and every one of us has, and the choices we make. By sharing these, we can also share ideas about the solutions – and work together to GROW a better future.
The report and data are available to download for further analysis - see this press release page for details
There is a very useful DROPBOX folder with a range of materials in it (first time I have seen it used for this purpose) which includes the original spreadsheet with a long list of "favourite foods", not all of which I had heard of before. Could explore these...
