This is well worth exploring. There are some powerful images here.
I would probably not use this in the immediate term, but with the 30th anniversary in 1986, and with the growing interest in nuclear power as a solution to an energy gap, there may come a time when this would be a very valuable resource to use with students.
I've also got several books describing visits to the area, and also links with the idea of DARK TOURISM, which is something I've thought about writing some resources on for some time.
